A joint program between the State of IL and The Delta Institute, a non-profit organization, The Illinois Conservation and Climate Initiative (ICCI) is a project that allows farmers and landowners to earn greenhouse gas emissions credits when they use conservation tillage, plant grasses and trees, or capture methane with manure digesters. *Please note, there are no signup deadlines for the ICCI program.  There are cutoff dates for the various pools so that a 10% sample can be assigned for verification.  Verification must occur prior to sale of accumulated credits.  It is anticipated that there will be two pools each year, one ending in September the other ending in February.  Signups can continue throughout the year and up until the last cutoff in 2010 for the end of the pilot project.
